Never got to Sleep With Anger

never-got-to-sleep-with-anger

Having small fights and getting angry towards each other is quite common (or say normal) among couples. Relationships include arguments, fights, jealousy, tears, disagreement and faith. However, when it comes to fights that last even after you go to bed, it is something that needs to be taken into consideration. ‘Nobody makes you angry. It is you who decide to use anger as a response’ is a saying which perfectly explains to us that ‘anger’ is a choice. The piece of advice that most of the elders give you before your marriage would be to end your fights before going to bed. Though none of them takes it seriously, that piece of advice they have given you actually plays a significant role in your life.

Observe Around

A new study proposes that couples who settle any issues before going to sleep may have a quality sleep than those who do not. Most of us know that sleep quality is something which could even disturb our health, it is safe to say that if you go to bed angry, you could also hamper your health either mentally or physically, and in some cases, both. Specialists from the Society for Personality and Social Psychology took some time to examine and observe around 698 married or cohabitation people between the ages of 35 and 66.

Quality Sleep

In the study, it was found that those whose companions paid more attention to them were able to fall asleep quickly and get the best sleep essential for their health. The sleep was studied in both personal way, which was by asking the participants how they believed their sleep quality was, and objectively by seeing their sleep using a monitoring device. Developmental and social psychologist Dr Emre Selcuk, who is also a lead author of the study said that their conclusions show that individuals with understanding partners experience lower stress or anxiety and arousal, which in turn increases their sleep quality.

Reducing stress

Reducing stress is the answer to getting the best night’s sleep, and scientists have also found that having a partner to shield us from outside dangers is one of the greatest ways to do this. So, in total, we can also say that having a considerate partner helps to keep our sleep healthful and in check.

Bed Angry

Seluck added that having an understanding partner who would be ready to protect and support us, if things go wrong, is the most efficient way to reduce arousal, anxiety, or tension.
The problems involved increases between husband and wife when they tend to hit the bed angry. Each time you go to sleep angry, you are adding a brick to the wall in between you and your partner. Instead of you getting relieved, the next day, you would rather find your relationship on rocks.

Fresh Start

If you have a good night’s slumber, then the next day you wake up with new hopes. However, that wouldn’t happen if you sleep with problems and issues unfinished. Every marriage needs to know the joy of winning conflicts and beginning fresh from time to time. However, when the next day starts with the hard emotions of the previous night, the fresh start is being delayed.
Anger not only wrecks you emotionally but also physically. Going to bed angry not only ruins the mood but frequently going to bed angry produces an unhealthy pattern of lesser chances for sexual intimacy.

Solve all the Problems before you Sleep

The message you convey to your spouse when you have a pattern of going to bed furious is that your marriage and your husband’s well-being are not important to you than winning in fights. That may not be what you mean to communicate, but that is often what the other person might feel. It is the way you handle things at the end of the day which is important. If you can solve all the problems before you sleep, it can build up your relationship. However, if you don’t, then it can even tear down your relationship.
According to the research, the next time you have an argument with your spouse or parents or even kids, hash it out entirely before you hit the bed. This will help you wake up with a refreshed feeling and in a better mood.
